  1. Could I please submit my company’s application to be on this show? Our business has a great mission…to educate buyers as to why pearls are the most important gem of choice. The industry relies on clean water. We are trying to convert men from diamond buyers to lovers of women, the planet and pearls…

Much of the money being spent on diamonds is channeled to criminals. In contrast, pearl buyers support purity in the environment and the female spirit.

I have had a few setbacks over the past 10 years and have bounced back (including breast cancer) – so could really use a boost to keep my fabulous idea alive and thriving.

My staff is in place to steer the ship now that the captain has turned the ship around. I am drowning in paperwork, taxes…trying to raise my 10 year old.

Our store is in the beautiful Southport Cooridor in Chicago. We are known for our clever window design and committment to supporting the local economy and training young designers to have strong business ethic and to reach their full potential doing good for the planet at the same time.

Thank you for your consideration and I hope your show is a fabulous success!

p.s. Several years ago I organized a fashion show “Fashion Caucus” through NAWBO (National Assoc of Women in Business). It was a satirical fashion show – making fun of the fact that women are judged on image…but if you can’t beat them…join em!

The local politicians were the models and I matched them up with local boutiques. It was a huge hit and I would love to do this again next year. The goal of the fashion show would be to try to change a state law that benefits women in business (i.e. Reproductive Equity Act – prevents Insurance companies from charging women a surcharge for maternity regardless of their age (the women aren’t getting pregnant on their own!). The most influential women in the world wear pearls…so we love to combine pearls with politics!

Warm regards and best of luck with this fabulous idea for a show!
